Mr. Maduki has also enormous experience on managing interfaith programs related to the provision of social services, enhancing democracy, governance and peace building. He gained such experience through managing various organizations as well as being member of national and international Boards and Governing Councils. Mr. Maduki worked with Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) as the Executive Secretary of Education Department (1994-1997) and later coordinated a project that led the establishment of the Catholic church owned university in Tanzania. From July 2000 to November 2011, he worked with Caritas Tanzania as the Executive Secretary and led community development and humanitarian assistance programs in collaboration with Caritas Internationalis worldwide network that included Caritas Australia, Caritas Germany, Trocaire, CAFOD, and Catholic Relief Services (CRS). Since 1995 to 2010, Mr. Maduki has been coordinating on part time basis, Joint Election Programs related to awareness creation and monitoring as well as interfaith peace building programs.
He is also a political advisor to the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) and Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT). Mr. Maduki has been serving in different Boards and Governing Councils both locally and Internationally including the Council of Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE), the Board of Catholic Education (Brussels), the Humanitarian Advisory Council of Caritas Internationalis (Vatican-Italy) and the Emergency Management Team of Caritas Africa in Togo. Currently, Mr. Maduki is a chairperson to the Vocational Education Training Authority (VETA) and Haydom Lutheran Hospital Boards; vice chairperson of the Tanzania National Coordinating Mechanism for Global Fund; a member of the Governing Councils and Boards of National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA), Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS), St. Gaspar College of Allied Health Sciences and St. Gaspar Health Tanzania Coalition for Debt and Development where he serve also as a chairperson of the Coalition.

Dr Sando is an advocate for improvement of women’s health including designing of women-cantered care to promote the provision of more respectful and dignified care including respective maternity care (RMC). Prior to her current position Dr Sando worked with UNICEF Tanzania as a Health Systems Strengthening Specialist- for MNCH and the Maternal and Child Health manager with Management and Development for Health. Dr Sando completed her medical training at the University of Dar es Salaam (Muhimbili) and her Master of Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

Dr. Sekule has substantial experience on forging strategic partnerships, implementing resource mobilization strategies for revenue growth and diversification; and Public-Private Partnership (PPP). He is currently leading Afya Plus towards realizing its vision of having a community with equitable access to quality integrated health services. He has been instrumental in providing strategic guidance, overseeing progress of the Afya Plus projects and engaging with the Government and other key stakeholders.

She served as the Chairperson of Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) for two terms (from May 2016 to June 2020) and as its Executive Secretary from May 2012 to May 2016. She has also attended different courses on governance, strategic plan, succession plan, risks management, organization development and procurement under the auspicious of the World Bank. Advocate Athanasia has carried out different legal consultancies through her engagement with the Law Reform Commission of Tanzania (LRCT) (2008 - 2012), World Bank (2016) and the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs (2020 to date). She is also a Board member of T -MARC Tanzania and Vision Fund Tanzania Micro Finance Bank (VFT Bank)

Prof. Gideon Kwesigabo

Professor Kwesigabo is currently the Principal Investigator of the ‘Centre of Excellence for cardiovascular sciences project’ funded by the African Development Bank aiming at training of highly specialized human resource for primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of cardiovascular conditions in Tanzania. He is also the Principal Investigator of an NIH-FIC supported project ‘Transforming Health Professions Education in Tanzania (THET) which is a consortium of five Universities aiming at improving the quality of medical and nursing graduates in Tanzania.
Regarding other activities Professor Kwesigabo is a member of the Agha Khan University Ethical Review Board, a member of the Hubert Kairuki Memorial University Ethics Review Board and a member of the Presidential Special Committee of experts advising the Tanzanian President on matters of COVID 19 response. He is also the Editor in Chief of the East African Journal of Public Health.

Polly Dunford has managed large, diverse portfolios targeting HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, maternal and child health, reproductive health, and nutrition. She helped launch PEPFAR in Haiti during 2002–2004 and led the rapid scale-up of PEPFAR in Nigeria and Mozambique. She also oversaw the development of the Global Health Initiative strategy in Mozambique, including the President’s Malaria Initiative and the Feed the Future Initiative. Before joining USAID, Polly Dunford served as the country director of the Near East Foundation in Morocco and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Côte d’Ivoire. A native of New York City, Polly Dunford holds a master’s degree in public health from Tulane University and a bachelor’s degree in history from North-western University.
